Ownership of Robert LeckieEdit

Japanese officer Iwo Jo

A Japanese Officer armed with a Nambu Type 14 pistol during the battle of Iwo Jima.

The pistol in the series is most well known as a temporary possession of Robert Leckie. He finds it in a chest and collects the whole thing only for it to be stolen by a superior officer. He eventually manages to steal back the pistol at the risk of being transferred to mess hall duty. He keeps his pistol for some time afterwards until Pavuvu and Banika, where he willingly gives up his pistol to a head medic of a hospital so he can get out before his friends leave without him.

  • This pistol, along with the katana, is very valuable to the marines as they would do anything for it.
  • In actuallity, the pistol that Leckie obtained belonged to someone else nicknamed "Rutherford", and he was keeping it for him when he was temporarily transferred from Pavuvu to Banika to get the Military Police off his trail. Leckie also didn't let the head medic keep the pistol after he was released from the hospital, the medic gave the pistol back, and he gave it back to Rutherford as soon as he got back to Pavuvu.
